You don’t always need the sun in summer to have a relaxing and peaceful time. That’s exactly what my wife and I experienced at Oxwich Bay. We wanted to go on a road trip to wales and originally we had planned to go to Caswell Bay, but our hotel receptionist recommended Oxwich Bay.

Oxwich Bay was approximately a 45 minute drive from our bed & breakfast. If you’re in the Swansea (Llanedi) area then I’d recommend a stay at the Tafarn-Y-Deri. It’s not the cheapest place to stay but I thought the facilities were decent and the surrounding neighborhood was quiet.

As you enter the car park, to the right is The Coal House a beachfront restaurant, further down is Oxwich Bay Hotel. But the best bits are to the left. So we just walked…
